LONDON, March 15 -- Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has been called up by manager Ryan Giggs to play Wales' international friendly in China, the Football Association of Wales announced on Thursday.
The China Cup tournament kicks off in southern China's Nanning on 22 March. It will be Giggs' first match as the head coach of Wales.
Wales' first match will be against the hosts China on Thursday, 22 March and the team could then face the Czech Republic or Uruguay on Monday, 26 March if they advance.
