ANAHEIM, United States, Nov. 30 -- After a 10-month layoff due to a back surgery, Tiger Woods made his comeback at the 2017 Hero World Challenge to be held in the Bahamas on Thursday.
The 41-year-old 14-time major champion, who has not played since withdrawing from the Dubai Desert Classic in February, said he does not want to push him hard and just want to give himself a chance to compete this week.
"It's been a very long time, and I'm really looking forward to getting out there and having a good time," said Woods, who underwent another operation on his back in April and was arrested for driving under the influence in May.
The 18-strong invitational tournament features the world's golf elite including world number one Dustin Johnson and second-ranked Jordan Spieth.
