To call the eccentric man of the earth is British famous physicist Cavendish. He uses a wooden stick and two dumbbell like shot balls, and then uses quartz wire to hang the two shot balls horizontally. Under the gravity of the earth, the shot ball swings, and the quartz wire twists to calculate the mass of the earth. In the experiment, because the gravity of the shot is too weak, the experiment fails. But Cavendish didn't give up in the face of difficulties. He chose to be strong like Newton and Edison. He didn't lose heart. He only knew to study and think hard and observe things. When he was walking, he happened to find a child playing with a mirror on the side of the road. The reflection of the sun's light and shadow inspired him. He couldn't wait to start the experiment for more than 50 years in the laboratory day and night. He couldn't bear the efforts of interested people. Finally, in 1798, according to the formula of gravity, he calculated the weight of the earth as 6 trillion tons.
