PARIS, March 7 -- Danish forward Kasper Dolberg struck a brace, including a winning goal in the third minute of the stoppage time as Nice rallied to beat Monaco 2-1 at home in French Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Nice moved close to the European zone with this victory over local rivals, sitting on the sixth in the table with 41 points, five behind Lille in the fourth, a place will secure a spot in the group stage of next season's Europa League.
Dolberg headed his first goal of the night in the 59th minute, after Wissam Ben Yedder put the visitors ahead in the 32nd minute with his 18th goal in Ligue 1 of the season.
The 22-year-old brought the home crowd into ecstasy before the final whistle as he flicked in a cross from Moussa Wague.
Monaco slipped to the ninth in the standings after the defeat.
Runaway league leaders Paris Saint-Germain were scheduled to travel to Strasbourg to play their league game on Saturday evening, but the game was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
In Saturday's other actions, Angers kept a clean sheet to beat Nantes 2-0 at home while Dijon defeated bottom side Toulouse 2-1 to lift them three points above the relegation zone.
Elsewhere, Metz overcame Nimes 2-1 at home while ten-man Stade Reims outlasted Brest 1-0.
