我们都知道,在古代,人们常常把“农”与“商”、“义”和“利”对立起来,古人把农比作“本”,把商比作“末”,意思是农业象树的根,商业像树的梢。狭隘地认为只有农业才能利国利民,而搞商业则是不务正业,有失根本。好像说农有理,谈商有罪。一谈到金钱,人们常常把“权”与“名”、“义”与“利”联系,认为一旦有权就必然谋利,一旦出名就一定重利。钱中没有“义”的成分,不含“义”的高贵,似乎有了钱就失了“义”。

今天,在改革开放的大潮中,我们更加清楚地看到了金钱的力量,也更进一步认识了金钱对于人们的负面影响。但是,我们切不可忽略了新时代所涌现出的数不胜数的与金钱有关高尚行动,如希望工程、爱心赞助、慈善捐款等等。我们要正确认识金钱的“品性”,切不能片面地认为“为富”就会“不仁”。要懂得金钱是物质,它不是人类的唯一需求,只有精神的东西才是人类永远追求的最高境界,要让金钱为我们所用,为人类造福。要了解金钱的历史,善于去发现、赞颂由金钱上演的感人故事。
