We are open and uninhibited by the times. We don't need to wrap our feet, leave our pigtails, or just carry "too many people" to go to the examination hall. We break the stupid rules and regulations and live freely. This is the freedom given by the times. We can master various languages and accept the impact of various cultures. We can sit at home and know everything about the world. This is the vision given by the times. We can be everywhere, no matter in the tumbling cloud like traffic of sun Dasheng Through tools, or using the cat's eye like network at home, we can leave our own "footprints" everywhere. This is the vast magic power given to us by the times So we have that pride and complacency in our bones. But despite the world outside, we still love tradition. We read hundreds of schools of thought, learned the free and easy of Zhuangzhou, learned the filial piety of kongqiu; we recited Tang poetry and Song poetry, and expressed one or two emotions in poetry, shaking our heads; we also looked at Lu Xun, we also listened to guzheng. If someone destroys tradition or steals cultural treasures, we are angry because we still care about our hometown. So we are just a traditional new generation.

我们因乏味而追求刺激，崇尚冒险。请不要指责我们动手能力弱，好强的我们何尝不想成为强者。古人会用摩擦生火，而如今我们只有打火机的按钮，并从小便被禁止玩火；上一代的人能走雪山过草地，而我们却身处石屎森林，放眼望去不就是改造的平地，却从小也被命令不得独自外出……我们甚至没见过稻谷，没见过飞翔的鸟……所以我们只能想方设法还在仅有的寸土上玩冒险。尽管我们是无聊的，而且偶尔是对生命不负责任的，但请不要嘲笑我们是“书中脑袋”。我们内心一直有把声音呼唤着自然的回归，有身影追逐着永恒的生灵。只是，它们被尘土与喧嚣所掩盖。
