英国数学家多番维尔倾注了三十多年的精力，把圆周率值推算到小数点后八百多位。可是后人发现，他在第三百多位时就出现了错误，也就是说，他后面二十来年的努力都是白费。科学是容不得半点马虎的，多番维尔如果能在工作过程中经常客观地审查自己的步骤和数据，就可能不会留下这个遗憾了。科学如此，人生又何尝不是?常常听人后悔自己什么做得不好，什么不该做，事后再多的悔恨也于事无补，我们应该从中吸取教训，对“出”的意义有一个更好的认识。
