In primary school, "three good students" were chosen by the students. I remember when I was in grade four, there was a girl in my class who was shy and stubborn. She didn't have any friends, and she couldn't get along with her teacher. Her classmates occasionally mentioned her, always called "old wilt". No one expected that the "old wilt" would come first in the final exam. When choosing "three good", the teacher first wrote the name of the famous "red man" in the center of the blackboard, and then the students mentioned other candidates. The "wilt" who got the first place in the exam seemed to be forgotten. Until the nomination was almost finished, no one mentioned her. Her name was very inconspicuous in the corner of the blackboard. When she raised her hand to vote, she was forgotten again. The students competed to choose their best friends. When the teacher one by one wiped out the names of those who lost the election, he found her in the corner. Through thick glasses, the teacher squinted at the disdainful eyes and asked, "Oh, there is another one, who agrees?" Lead to a burst of laughter in the class. Inadvertently, I caught a glimpse of "wilt", she huddled in the corner of the classroom, eyes wide open, filled with confusion. The eyes hurt my young heart deeply: I feel our cruelty, though I don't know what it is.
