SHEFFIELD, April 25 -- Mark Selby comfortably won the opening frame of the last session with Stephen Hendry on Monday, which was enough for him to grab a quarterfinal place in 13-4 at the Snooker World Champoinships held in Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
The world No. 3 Selby led in 12-4 after the first two sessions completed on Sunday and became the first man to make six century breaks in a single World Championship match.
Selby opened the game on Monday with a break of 39 and seven-time world champion Hendry only managed to take 6 points before Selby finally wrapped it up with a break of 81.
Selby is going to meet the winner between Stuart Bingham and Ding Junhui. Bingham leads the Chinese top cueman 9-7 after the first two sessions.
"If I'm playing the way I'm playing then I've every chance, no matter who I play, but it will be a tough game," said Selby.
Hendry, 42, will continue to consider about his future and tend to make a decision this summer.
The snooker legend has hinted that he would probably retire at the end of this season.
"I still have the game but I don't have the self belief to compete with these guys," said Hendry. "If you're not truly believing you're going to win they you're going to struggle. Without wins it doesn't change but you need wins to get some self belief."
