COPENHAGEN, Sept. 23 -- French cyclist Arnaud Demare won gold on the fouth day of the UCI U-23 Road World Championships Friday.
Another Frenchman Adrien Petit grabbed the silver medal.
Demare and Petit had solid performance in the last sprint on the uphill finish, bringing a double victory to France that also became the fifth member of the goldclub,while Britain's Andrew Fenn got bronze.
Besides, Lucy Garner from Britain won the first Road Race World Champion 2011 for women's junior in the morning's race.
In the medal standing after four days and seven races, Australia still leads with two gold and two bronze medals, and Britain have now got five medals.
The host Denmark also had a wonderful performance so far, standing in the fourth place with one gold, one silver and one bronze medals.
Two more road races for junior men and elite women will be held in in Rudersdal, north of Copenhagen, on Saturday.
