What is a "job application"?
With regards to the application and background check, a job application is either a printed or online form that perspective employers will ask you to complete giving basic information. The job application information will include your contact information, social security number, work history, references, and experience.
What do I put on my application if I have a criminal record?
If you have a criminal record, the best thing to do is to be honest about it. Just be forth coming and upfront, and let the employer know truthfully what happened. Answer the questions that are going to be on the application fully and completely, and then you can always discuss those answers in the interview once you get in to meet with someone.
Should I reveal my disability or past injuries on my application?
With regards to the application and background check, the job application may ask you about past injuries or any type of disability claims you may have filed in the past. If so, be honest about your responses, and certainly forthcoming in your answers. You should know that it goes against the law for any employer to discriminate against you if you have had any previous injuries or disability claims.
