一、afire">afire 的用法
1. 燃烧着的(If something is afire">afire or is set afire">afire, it is on fire or looks as if it is on fire.)，作表语。例如：
The house is afire">afire. 房子着火了。
My skin was presently afire">afire. 我的皮肤在发烧。
作宾语补足语。例如：
The sun has already set, leaving the sky afire">afire with orange and green light.
作后置定语。例如：
They looked at the ship afire">afire. 他们望着燃烧中的船。
2. 异常激动的(If someone is afire">afire with emotion, they are extremely enthusiastic and excited about something)，作表语。例如：
Sydney is afire">afire with Olympic enthusiasm.
作宾语补足语。例如：
Arizona has plenty of stupendous sights that set the senses afire">afire. 亚里桑那州有很多摄人心魄的名胜。
作后置定语。例如：
