　　Basically in 2009, most of the speaking topics remained the same with very little change although in part 1 some topics like driving, food and cooking, fruit and vegetables , advertisement, swimming, news, visitors, bikes, art, house, transport and flowers , etc. were used more often than others. At the same time study/work, hometown, photo, music, newspaper/reading, clothes, hobbies, shopping were still very popular。

　　In part 2, since September, 2009, People topics, like friends, a person who is good at cooking, a famous person that you want to become, a family were frequently asked; Places topics, like a place with water, historical places, a house, a restaurant, a place you would like to visit /a journey you would like to take /a city you have visited, etc. were also used on a regular basis. For Events topics, like party, sports event /physical exercises, a happy event, an educational visit, family event, an important stage in life, a recent change appeared to be used in the majority of tests, and for Things topics ,something you lost, gift, a book you read, a TV program, newspaper/magazine were hot topics. All of these are expected to be seen again during 2010, so advice for 2010 candidates would be not just look forward, but also look back on 2009; basically at least 90% of speaking topics are going to be the same.
