Fortunately, much progress has been made in recent years in protecting the environment. Scientists and inventors are trying to invent cleaner engines for automobiles. Governments of many countries have established laws to protect the natural resources and to stop the environmental pollution. More and more people have been aware of the importance of environmental protection and are doing what they can to protect our environment.

　　Still, more measures should be taken to solve the problem. People should be well educated to adopt modern methods to protect our environment and learn how to recycle our natural resources. Governments should impose stronger regulations on industry, and heavier penalty for polluting. In short, we should pursue economic growth yet at the same time protect and improve the environment.
