Carlo Janka of Switzerland won Tuesday the title in men's giant slalom in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
Janka finished the two runs in two minutes and 37.83 seconds to win the gold medal, 0.39 second faster than Kjetil Janstud of Norway, who won the silver medal.
"It is fantastic to be an Olympic champion. I am it at 23 years. It is just amazing," said Janka, champion of last year's World Championships in France.

Aksel Lund Svindal, also from Norway, came in third to have the bronze medal. His time is two minutes and 38.44 seconds.
China's Li Lei took part in the event and finished in 75th place with a time of three minutes and 7.26 seconds.
