　　Recently our class have had a heated discussion about whether we celebrate foreign festivals, especially those western festivals.

　　Some students are in favor of the idea. They think that as the society develops, the connection between the countries is frequent. Celebrating foreign festivals helps understand the foreign cultures. What's more, it helps better communicate with foreign friends and enhance the understanding and friendship. For some young people, they consider it as a fashion act to celebrate foreign festivals. However, others are against it. They think that we should keep our own national characteristics and celebrate our festivals such as the Spring Festival. Some young people celebrate more and more foreign festivals and consider celebrating China's festivals as outdated. The opposite side think, as Chinese, we should try our best to spread our Chinese culture, making more foreigners celebrate Chinese festivals.

　　In my opinion, we should work hard to make our country stronger and the world will learn much more about our culture and our festivals, just as our language becomes more and more popular in other countries.
