　　这位女孩学习很努力以便她能以高分通过这次考试。 (2) so that还可以引导结果状语从句，表示“结果”，前面常有逗号与主句隔开。如：

　　He ran too fast, so that he fell down on the ground.

　　【相关拓展】目的状语从句用法小结： (1) 引导目的状语从句的从属连词及结构有：so that, in order that, in case, for fear that, in the hope that, for the purpose that等。

　　(2) in order that 与so that都意为“以便……，为了……”，从句需用情态动词。in order that 比so that 更正式，引导的从句可置于主句之前或之后，而so that引导的从句只能置于主句之后。如：

　　I’ll speak slowly so that / in order that you can understand me.

　　我说得慢一点以便你能听懂我。

　　In order that we might see the sunrise, we started for the peak early.

　　为了看到日出，我们一大早就向山顶出发了。

　　(3) 目的状语从句可以转换为不定式，但只有主句和从句主语一致时，才能直接转换。如：第4讲 │ 句型透视
