　　1.应该从儿时抓起；2. 儿童时期记忆力好，可以记住许多单词；3. 儿童时期模仿能力强，对于语音语调的把握更有效；4. 为今后的英语学习打下坚实基础。 1. 不应从儿时抓起；2. 既要学汉语拼音又要学英文字母，容易混淆；3. 学习语言多样，给儿童带来的压力过大；4. 影响其今后的学习兴趣。

　　Is it necessary to start learning English in early childhood? Our class held a discussion about it today.      Some students think that children should start learning English at a young age. They say that children have a very good memory and a natural ability to learn languages easily. Teaching them at a young age will help them lay a solid foundation for English learning. Other students don’t agree. They don’t think it is wise for young girls and boys to learn English. They say that children will confuse Chinese pinyin with English letters, so it will cause problems in learning both languages. Moreover, making them learn too much will put too much pressure on them, which will weaken their interest in learning in general.     For now these two sides have not arrived at an agreement.
