Tom's family, indeed, was very hospitable. For the whole meal, they kept busy working for me.
There was no such moment as silence for they talked and laughed even with their mouths full of food. Seeing me just eating from the two plates in front, Tom's grandparents, who sat beside me, constantly stood up and conveyed what was described as delicious into my bowl with their own chopsticks.
