Being afraid of failing an English exam and influenced by her classmates, the author decided to cheat. She hid some paper in her pocket but gave up cheating finally, which made her feel good.

　　Nowadays, cheating in exams is popular among some students. There are various reasons for this. Some students are lazy and don’t work hard at their lessons.

　　Some want to get higher marks so that they can be praised or even admired. Others cheat in order to win a scholarship or enter a key school.

　　However, this phenomenon will have a very bad effect on middle school students’ habit of study. Those who usually cheat in exams will never treat study seriously again because they believe they will always get good marks without working hard.

　　Those who never cheat in exams will consider it’s unfair for them, thinking studying hard is no more necessary.

　　In order to get rid of the bad effects, the school authority should take effective measures to help the students know how important honesty is. Meanwhile, a strict discipline for exams should be carried out. Whoever cheats should be severely punished.
