Nowadays excessive packaging can be seen here and there, fruits put in hand-woven baskets, moon-cakes placed in delicate boxes and people become increasingly aware of the problem.

　　What are the causes of this phenomenon? For one thing, many companies believe that excessive packing can attract customers’ attention so as to gain more profits. For another, some consumers believe that the more delicate the package is, the better the quality will be. As far as I am concerned, excessive packaging is actually a waste of resources and may cause unnecessary environmental pollution, so it should be avoided.
