　　as/so long as只要，引导条件状语从句。

　　as long as还可译为“长达，和……一样长久”。

　　as far as远至；就……来说

　　as well as和……一样好；不但……而且；也……

　　as soon as一……就……

　　In our life we may meet many failures；as long as we try our best，there’s no need feeling regret for these failures.

　　生活中我们可能遇到许多失败，但只要我们尽了力，就没有必要为失败而后悔。(湖南·书面表达)

　　(1)—What are you going to do this afternoon?

　　—I’ll probably go for a walk later on so/as long as it stays fine(只要天一直好的话).

　　(2)I’ll tell him the news as soon as he comes back(他一回来).

　　(3)As far as I know(据我所知)，he is a man to be depended on.

　　(4)He makes films as well as he acts(他不仅演电影).

　　3At the last minute，he jumped out of the truck，hurting his ankle...最后时刻，他从卡车上跳了出来，伤着了脚踝……

　　现在分词(短语)作结果状语常表示“意料、情理之中”，这种分词的逻辑主语既可以是句子的主语，也可以是前边的整个句子；逻辑主语为前边的整个句子时，其作用相当于一个非限制性定语从句。不定式(短语)作结果状语常表示出乎意料的结果。
