　　There will be an English Corner activity in the school hall at 4:00 this Friday afternoon and all our students and English teachers are required to attend it. For this English Corner activity, we have invited five American students from Columbia University, among whom Lucy will give us a speech on the American lifestyle and education in America. Meanwhile, some of our students will give wonderful performances composed and directed by themselves, including English songs and plays. Moreover, we will hold a free discussion, in which Chinese and American students can talk about what they are interested in, such as language learning and their own lives in different schools.

　　　Please prepare yourself to make notes about American culture in advance for the free discussion and be sure to arrive on time.

　　Last year, researchers in Taiwan found that playing outdoors reduces progression of short-sightedness of school children. Around the same time, Global Times published a report, explaining that staring at the screen of an iPad closely tightens the muscles of the eyes and will lead children to suffer from headaches. If the muscles remain tightened for a long time, they will change the shape of the eyeballs, which will lend to short-sightedness.
