最后让我们来看看 condense ，这是一个动词，意思是“浓缩、提炼、凝结”，当我们说什么东西被 condense 了，一般指通过某种方式把这个东西的浓度提高了或者从气体变成液体，比如空气中的水气可以凝结为水珠，water vapour is condensed into water droplets。如果一部长篇小说的内容被高度压缩成一部一小时的戏剧，我们也可以说这本书被 condense了。大家需要注意的是，这种涉及内容的提炼一般我们要用 condense，偶尔人们也会说 compress，不过是有细微的区别。Condense 内容的时候我们说不定需要换一种表达才能把内容以更简洁方式说明白。Compress 内容的时候我们更多做的是把空白不影响内容的东西摘除，从而达到压缩的效果。让我们来听几个例句吧。
