LONDON, Nov. 27 -- Chinese No. 1 Ding Junhui sailed into the second round of the Snooker UK Championship at York on Tuesday.
Ding, the winner in 2005 and 2009, breezed past Adam Stefanow of Poland 6-1 to earn a match with Matthew Selt, who beat Ding's fellow Chinese Zhang Yong 6-2.
"I didn't play well today," said Ding. "Adam had chances and it could have been different if he had taken them. I have been practising hard and hopefully I can get better each day."
