DOHA, Sept. 29 -- The United States improved their own world record to win the 4X400 meters mixed relay title at the 2019 athletics world championships here on Sunday.
The American quartet clocked three minutes, 9.34 seconds to claim the first ever mixed gender relay gold medal in the history of the biennial track and field gala, beating the world record of 3:12:42 they set on Saturday in the heats.
Jamaica achieved a national record of 3:11.78 to take the silver while Bahrain finish third with an Asian record of 3:11.82.
