滚滚东逝的长江，全长6300米，东起青藏高原唐古拉山脉各拉丹东雪山，流经10省、市、自治区，最后注入碧波浩瀚的东海，整个长江以“滔滔长江腾蛟龙，巍巍群山威虎雄”为其显著特点，是泱泱大中华的母亲河，为世界第三大江。它多少年来不知引发多少人的奇想？又不知使多少人进入梦境？李白的“朝辞白帝彩云间，千里江陵一日还；两岸猿声啼不住，轻舟已过万重山”；杜甫的“无边落木萧萧下，不尽长江滚滚来”等都是过往的绝唱。五十年代，毛泽东在畅游长江、品尝武昌鱼后，以“极目楚天舒”的心境，挥毫留下了浪漫之作《水调歌头.游咏》，为我们描绘了“高峡出平湖，神女应无羌，当惊世界殊”的壮美图画。
