据媒体报道，山东省高校已查获2002年至2009年间242名涉嫌冒名顶替者。

另一条微博写道：“对于一个农村女孩来说，大学入学资格被顶替就是错过了最重要的阶级流动机会。如果她的学生档案是在1997年分配给班主任女儿的，那么按照正常规定，苟晶就无法报名参加1998年的高考。与高考有关的犯罪行为必须受到严厉惩罚。”
