MADRID, July 13 -- FC Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez this Wednesday said that he knows his fellow countryman and friend, Cesc Fabrigas is suffering over the inability of Barcelona to secure his transfer from English Premier League side, Arsenal.
Fabrigas is aiming to return to Barcelona for the second summer in succession, but Arsenal have so far refused to accept the offer the Spanish and European Champions have made for the Spain international.
Fabrigas has not travelled with the Arsenal squad on their Far East Tour in the hope that Barcelona will raise their offer, which is thought to be in the region of 35 million euros, while Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger continues to insist he aims to keep the player.
"He is in the same situation as he was last year. We have all been talking about him for a long time and nobody likes that," said Xavi, who spoke about Fabrigas at the opening of a FC Barcelona football campus.
"I was with Cesc over the summer and he is having to live with the uncertainty over whether or not he is going to come here or not. The two clubs should reach an agreement," he added.
"Cesc is used to living with pressure, but we all want him to come to Barca and for the question to be resolved for everyone, but especially for him. He is suffering because the signing has not been completed," continued Xavi, who also discussed the talents of imminent signing, Chilean winger, Alexis Sanchez.
