Other firms are trying ice breakers to bring workers closer together. David Rose, a researcher at MIT's Media Lab, has teamed up with the design firm Gensler and exhibit-design firm Tellart to design a series of interactive installations expected to be set up later this year in the Portland and San Francisco offices of tech firm Salesforce.comCRM +1.09% and eventually in other companies as well.
