1.呈现单词:
教师课前准备好从报纸杂志上剪辑下来的同学们熟悉的歌星、影星、球星、伟人、科学家、作家、医生或卡通片中的人物图片。
方法一:
T: Look at the picture, please.
Who is he/she?
: He/She is ...
: He/She ...
T: Whats he/she like?
He /She is smart.
friendly/unfriendly
shy
serious
funny
若学生学习能力强,可在这一环节中引出Section B 1a中出现的生词,如:easygoing,generous,moody,outgoing
在呈现单词的同时,教师可将Whats he/she like? He/She is ...句型写在黑板上。
方法二:
T: Is he your friend?
: Yes, he is.
T: Whats he like?
: He is friendly.(板书)
老师在介绍单词时,可用手势、面部表情、体态语言等手段让学生理解黑板上新单词的意思,然后将事先准备好的图片拿出来,引导学生用Whats he/she like? He/She的句型逐个地对人物个性进行描述。
2.检查单词并呈现句型。让学生认真看1a中的图片。
