M：That's not all. I really admire him for his courage.

　　M：Well, in 1988, doctors told Lance that he had cancer.

　　W：He had cancer?

　　M：Yes. And they told him that he might not live.

　　W：Wow!

　　M：Well, he went through a lot of pain, but in 1998, he started bicycling again. He worked so hard that in 1999 he won the Tour. I think it was the greatest win in the history of sports.

　　W：Well, I guess he would quit after that.

　　M：No, he didn't. He's such a great competitor that he refused to quit. He came back and won it four more times.

　　W：That's amazing!

　　W：Have you found an apartment?

　　M：No. I'm going to start looking for an apartment this week. Any advice?

　　W：Well, the most popular part of the town is out near the Parkway, where I live. But it's better to live closer to work.

　　M：Maybe I should live downtown. That's the most convenient location. And I'd be close to the nightlife.

　　W：We don't have the most exciting nightlife, you know. This isn't New York.

　　M：It's different, that's for sure.

　　W：There's a new apartment building on Bedford Street. It's very nice. But it's probably the most expensive building downtown.
