The likelihood of traffic coming from London and the East of England rose 70 and 45 per cent respectively. In a blow to the claims of the organizing committee that the Games would benefit the whole country, traffic from the south-west was down 62 per cent and that from central Scotland down 72 per cent。
The data also shows that traffic from those web users categorized as "working class" was likely to be 71 per cent below ordinary levels and that visitors to the site were nearly 40 per cent less likely to be men and women aged 15-24 than typical web users。
The data represents not only people who visited the website while tickets were on sale, but it could also be indicative of the 850,000 applicants who have successfully obtained more than 3.5 million tickets so far。
