美国纸媒遇困境：华盛顿邮报易主 波士顿环球报甩卖
Amazon.com Chief Executive Jeff Bezos is buying the Washington Post Co.'s flagship newspaper and some related publishing assets for $250 million.
亚马逊首席执行官杰夫·贝索斯也以2.5亿美元收购了《华盛顿邮报》旗舰报刊和其他相关出版机构。
The press release makes the explicit point up high that the buyer is an entity belonging to Bezos, not Amazon. The deal doesn’t include several properties, such as Slate.com, Foreign Policy magazine, and Kaplan, among others.
资讯媒体清楚说明，收购者是贝索斯个人而非亚马逊公司。这次收购并未包括Slate.com网站、《外交政策》杂志和《卡普兰》等项目。
In a letter to Post employees published on that newspaper’s website, Bezos says he understands that the deal “with a degree of apprehension” and that he had no plans to lead the paper’s daily operations.
贝索斯向《华盛顿邮报》职员写了一封信，发布在这家报纸的网站上。他表示理解大家对这次收购“心怀一丝忧虑”，还表示他不准备领导管理报纸日常运作。
