听众二：请问在商务英语中 sector, department, division 有什么区别？

本期节目内容简介名词 sector、department 和 division 都和企业、组织等有关，但这三个单词所表示的机构职能及规模却不尽相同。本集《你问我答》帮大家细细辨析这三个常用商务词汇的区别。从总体上看，sector 多指“国家经济或社会活动的一个行业或部门”；department 和 division 则用于公司内部“科、室、部门”等分支的名称，两个词语的区别在于，division 所在的机构规模可能大于 department，但事实上，应该选择哪一个在于公司自己的决定；department 还有高等院校专业“院系”、政府相关“部门”以及“百货商场销售不同商品类型的部门”的意思。
