LONDON, Aug. 6 -- New Zealand's shot putter Tomas Walsh uppered in men's event at the IAAF World Championships here on Sunday.
Walsh has secured the gold after his toughest rival Joe Kovacs of the United States had a poor finish in the final attempt to set at 21.66 meters.
Walsh went on to record 22.03 meters in his last attempt to win the event.
Stipe Zunic of Croatia bagged a bronze medal with 21.46 meters.
