五.活动过程
Step 1. Free talk.
Talk about something the students have learnt.
(设计意图:营造轻松愉快的课堂气氛,让学生在放松的心情中开始学习)
Step 2. Revision
(1) Show the pictures of some places to the students and review the words.
(2) Word guessing game.
Guess what the place is by listening to the tape. Like this:
It is tall. You can go shopping there. What is it? It is a shopping centre.
(3) Ask and answer
Ask students to describe the place that the teacher shows to them. And practice the sentence pattern: I can … there.
(设计意图:通过本环节的复习和巩固,一方面可以唤起学生对之前已经学习过的内容的复习,另一反面也可以通过游戏教学法,增加一些新单词,新知识的输入,扩宽学生的思维)
Step 3. Presentation
(1) Listen to a short passage about Mary’s flat
Tell the students to listen to the passage and try to draw out the surroundings of Mary’s flat as follows.
(2) Class discussion
Discuss whether Mary’s flat is good to live with their parents. Then ask some students to modify the surroundings of Mary’s flat.
