A teenager suffering from an untreatable form of cancer has recorded a song to say goodbye to his friends and family after being told he has only another three months to one year to live.
Seventeen-year-old Zach Sobiech of Lakeland, Minnesota wrote the song, titled 'Clouds,' and posted a video of his studio recording on YouTube.
The video has amassed more than 412,000 views in the last 10 days.
In the chorus, he sings: 'And we’ll go up, up, up, but I’ll fly a little higher. We’ll go up in the clouds, because the view is a littler nicer. Up here, my dear. It won’t be long now; it won’t be long now.'
Sobiech was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone cancer that develops in children, in 2009 when he was 14 years old. The cancer affects just 400 people under the age of 20 each year.
