When Donna Yip, a lawyer who lives in the financialdistrict, went into labor with her second child inJune, she had more than just her husband andmedical team in her room at NewYork-PresbyterianMorgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.

Ms. Yip is one of a growing number of women who are booking hairstylists and makeup artiststo come to their hospital room for postpartum grooming, typically with the first photographs ofmother and child in mind.
