2) Going out with a friend or colleague. In this situation you are probably going to split the bill. However, if he says, Let me take you out..., Its on me, Its my treat, Let me get it, or ll pick up the tab, these all mean that your friend will pay for the bill. 3) In case you are short on money, you should tell the person that you are going out to eat, and that you will need to borrow money before you go out to eat. Never assume that they will pay.
