[01:04.94]On Tuesday the Supreme Court considered an appeal against the ban on gay marriage in California.

[01:16.10]And again all eyes are on the swing voter, Justice Anthony Kennedy.
[01:20.71]Justice Kennedy seems to be unhappy with the way in which the defence of Marriage Act intruded upon what is in the US a state-level power--
[01:29.14]the regulation of marriage.
[01:30.49]He spoke of the risks of the act intervening too much.
[01:33.89]If he joins the four liberal justices, the act will be struck down.
