当时的The New York Herald-Tribune(纽约的一份报纸,目前已不存在)有这样的描述:For almost th- firsI time in hisory. Simoena faiedtodeliver anabsolutelycoIlectiOn.(几乎是有史以来的第一次,Simonetta没有设计出惊艳全球的绝美系列作品。)
《注释Simonetta是意大利著名时装品牌。 除了“倒地死去”的本义外,drop dead(没有横线)还可以用来宣泄自己对某人的不满情绪,相当于中文里的“去死”。这种用法最早出现在20世纪30年代,起源地同样是美国。
