Cats and dogs are human companions that we need to protect with a well-made law. The law would prohibit slaughtering and selling cats and dogs to avoid the formation of a market and an industry for cat and dog meat. The action of slaughtering and selling cats and dogs hurts the feelings of animal lovers. The prohibition would also rise out of concern about food safety and social security because much of the cat and dog meat produced or sold in public has not gone through quarantine inspection.

猫狗是人类的伴侣动物，需要一部完善的《动物保护法》来保护它们，不允许公开贩卖宰杀猫、狗，防止将猫、狗肉市场化、产业化。公开宰杀贩卖猫、狗，一方面会伤害爱护动物人士的感情；另一方面出于食品安全、社会治安方面考虑，有很多猫狗肉来路不明，没有经过检验检疫。
