MUMBAI: Foxconn Technology is in talks tomanufacture Apple'siPhone in India, governmentofficials said, in a move that could lower pricesin theworld's No.3 smartphone market where the US firmtrails SamsungElectronics and local players.

孟买：富士康科技集团正谈判要在印度生产苹果手机，政府官员称，作为世界第三大智能手机市场，此举将降低印度手机的价格。此前印度市场已经有了本土手机企业和三星电子公司，现在苹果公司也开始要在印度制造手机了。

India could help Foxconn mitigate accelerating wage inflation in China, whereit makes themajority of iP hones, and base production sites closer to marketswhere its key clients want togrow.
