　　(1)非生命名词作主语是一种特指的语言现象，它排除了含连系动词be的句子和被动语态中的非生命名词作主语的现象。

　　(2)作主语的非生命名词的种类：表时间、地点或范围的名词或动作名词或表情感的名词或是自然现象。

　　(3)非生命名词作主语的句子中谓语动词常见的有：make，bring，cause，enable，see，find，witness，give，meet等。

　　(4)非生命名词作主语在大多数情况下含有时间、条件、原因、方式等状语含义。因此我们在翻译时，不宜直译，一般情况下，应把其主语当作状语来译。
