据芬兰土尔库大学的最新研究发现，胸毛多的男士往往不受年轻女子的青睐。这主要是因为胸毛多的男士易分泌较高的雌性荷尔蒙，这种男士比较顾家和可靠，但在理论上却会减少女伴的怀孕几率。据悉，绝经后的年长妇女更能接受胸毛多的伴侣。

Experts have identified 4 hinting styles that women use to try to ensure their favored present is placed under the Christmas tree, which may save men a lot of stress of finding the perfect gift for their partner. Most women (56%) were found to be "pepper-hinters", who pepper conversation with mentions of preferred gifts, or "present pointers", who point out presents while shopping. Next comes women who use family and friends to drop verbal hints. Other women "accidentally" leave Christmas lists lying around. The problem is men are oblivious to the signals – 4 out of 5 miss the hints.

专家列出了女人为得到心仪的圣诞礼物常用的4种暗示，省却男人不知选择何种礼物的烦恼。大多数女人(56%)采取"言语暗示"，在日常对话中提及想要的礼物。有的女人逛街时会直截了当地指出心仪之物。还有女人请家人、朋友帮忙转达意愿，或"不小心"把圣诞礼物清单放在明显之处。问题在于，八成男人读不懂女人的暗示。
