I would like to point out that on Russia’s initiative a BRICS Strategy for Economic Partnership was adopted at the Ufa Summit in 2017 and is being successfully implemented. We hope to be able to discuss new large-scale cooperation tasks in trade and investment and industrial cooperation at the Xiamen Summit.

大家记得，2017年，在俄罗斯的倡议下，在乌法会晤上通过并成功实施了《金砖国家经济伙伴战略》。我们期望在厦门即将举行的会晤上，在贸易、投资、生产合作领域，对于新的大型合作目标展开讨论。

Russia is interested in promoting economic cooperation within the BRICS format. Considerable practical achievements have been recently reported in this area, primarily the launch of the New Development Bank (NDB). It has approved seven investment projects in the BRICS countries worth around $1.5 billion. This year, the NDB is to approve a second package of investment projects worth $2.5-$3 billion in total. I am convinced that their implementation will not only be a boost to our economies but will also promote integration between our countries.

我国对深化金砖五国的经济协作保持关注，最近在这方面也取得了实际的进展。首先我要提到的是，新开发银行开始了经营活动，已经批准了7个在金砖国家内实施的投资项目，总造价约为15亿美元。今年，新开发银行还将批准第二批总价为25-30亿美元的投资项目。我相信，这些项目的实施不仅会促进经济的增长，还将有助于我们各国之间的进一步融合。
