6月16日，习大大在塞尔维亚《政治报》和新南斯拉夫通讯社发表题为《永远的朋友真诚的伙伴》的署名文章，文中写到：

“塞尔维亚人讲：‘先跨越，再言语’，中国人常说‘行胜于言’。中国高度重视发展同塞尔维亚的关系，珍视两国深厚的传统友谊，愿深入挖掘互利合作潜力，实现优势互补，推动两国关系行稳致远。”

"The Serbian people believe that 'prvo skoci, pa reci hop' (walk the walk, then talk the talk) while the Chinese people believe that actions speak louder than words.
