And when I think about the kind of president that I want for my girls and all our children, that is what I want. I want someone with the proven strength to persevere. Somebody who knows this job and takes it seriously. Somebody who understands that the issues of our nation are not black or white. It cannot be boiled down to 140 characters.

想想我的女儿们和所有我们的孩子，她就是我想要的总统。我需要那个被证明不屈不挠的人;那个知道该怎么做，并认真去做的人;那个了解我们的国家事务而不是主张非黑即白的人。国家大事不是写一条140字的推文就能解决的。

Because when you have the nuclear codes at your fingertips and the military in your command, you can't make snap decisions. You can't have thin skin or a tendency to lash out. You need to be steady and measured and well informed.

因为你指尖上有核发射密码，军队听你指挥，你不能一拍脑袋就做出决定。你不能面子薄，也不能只会批判。你需要稳健、有节、见多识广。

I want a president with a record of public service. Someone whose life's work shows our children that we don't chase fame and fortune for ourselves; we fight to give everyone a chance to succeed.

我们需要一个有公共服务经历的总统，其工作向我们的孩子表明，我们不因自己而追名逐利，我们的奋斗让每个人都有机会成功。
